November Archery Report:

Lost Arrow League:
The Lost Arrow League will start on Wednesday, May 5 at Iroquois Rod and Gun. The second week will be at Guan Ho Ha on May 12. The full schedule is below. Iroquois brought the trophy home last season. We really need your help out there to get it back. It’s a great way to get out and enjoy good friends a great walk in the woods, and some archery to boot. Each club makes the ranges available for a morning line, and the afternoon shooting starts up at about 4:00. There’s always food and something to drink at each club, so you can enjoy a Wednesday night out. Contact Gary Ciancetta for information (355-2629)..

Summer 3D tournaments:
By the time you get this newsletter we will have already hosted two 3D shoots. The 1st shoot was April 11. A bit cold and windy, but it was a great day to get out for a spring shoot. Over 100 shooters turned out. A very good day! Everyone had a great time. Our second shoot is on April 25. Hope you had a chance to get to one of those shoots. There are two more shoots scheduled this season. Our next shoot will be our Annual 3D and Chicken Barbecue will be on August 8. This will be a 40 target shoot. We’ll be using ranges on all parts of the club property, so get out there and see parts of Guan Ho Ha you haven’t seen before. Our chicken barbecue is the best around. If you’re not a shooter, just stop up for the barbecue. We’ll be doing take outs if you want to bring one home. Our last shoot will be something different. We’re calling it a “Coon Shoot” but it’s really a nighttime 3D. On Saturday Sept. 18 @ 8:00 PM shooters will be paired up with one flashlight between them and take turns shooting and spotting. The results may get a bit interesting. Make sure to bring plenty of arrows. Come on out and see what you can do..

Youth Archery 2010:
Mike Petrillose put together another great 10 week program for the youth archers this year. With help from his wife Doreen, Jack Douglas, Doug Mara, Steve Kingsley, Leo Savoie, Mike Carpenter, Kathy Litts and Dale Olsen plus a few parents he provided great instruction and a lot of fun for over 30 young archers. Check out the shots below. Mike starts up the 1st week of January each year. Contact him if you know a young shooter that would enjoy some range time..
